Think You Don't Need My Services?  Think again!

When some people learn about the financial services I offer, they invariably say, “Oh, those services are for people with ‘bad credit’.  I don’t need those services.”  It reminds me of how when some people hear a sermon, they say, “I know someone who really needs to hear this sermon” not realizing or admitting that sermon was really meant for them!

If 90% of the American adult population is struggling financially due to overspending and exorbitant finance charges, chances are YOU need my financial services though ego, denial, and worse, apathy may tell you otherwise.  The foremost expert on the study of the affluent, Thomas Stanley, who wrote Millionaire Next Door, created the following formula to estimate what your net worth (assets – liabilities) should be at your current age:

Suggested Net Worth = 0.10 X Your Current Age X Annual Net Income (income after taxes)

If your current net worth is less than the result of the above equation, you’re dangerously unprepared and vulnerable financially.  Translation:  YOU need my financial services.

If you took the time to perform the above calculation, you know the result.  Now that you know your financial position, what are you going to do to change it?  Call me today to begin increasing your net worth so that you are financially prepared and protected.  It’s your money . . . until you give it away.

Did you know?

Social Security Fact:  if you are divorced, both you and your ex can collect spousal benefits (on each others work histories) after full retirement age while still postponing taking your own retirement benefits until age 70, when they are as high as can be.

The Can't Miss Way of Building Your Savings

For some, the act of saving feels like a nearly impossible task or a “nice to have.”  But what if you began to think of saving as actually “delayed spending?”  If you think about it, when you save, you’re actually putting the money aside to spend at a later date for targeted needs and wants.  Once you embrace this approach, you begin to “spend” your savings every month or pay period just like any other line item in your forecast (budget for those who haven’t switched to a forecasting approach).

The best way to “spend” your savings is to set up an automatic withdrawal to an interest-bearing account that is not easy to access.  If you set it up this way, it becomes just another “bill” in your forecast, and you condition yourself to live without it until you really need it.

I can hear a whole chorus of people saying, “But Ray, I don’t have enough money left over to save!”  In most cases, after you complete a financial worksheet and a spending planner (I provide both templates by request.), you and I can usually find at least 1% of your monthly income that can be sent to savings.  For many, it’s usually $300 – $600 per month.  Imagine your savings accumulating at that rate every month.

Call me today to start the “delayed spending” approach towards savings and begin building a savings that can be used when you really need it.  It’s your money . . . until you give it away.
